Family Pics on the Beach

We attempted to take family pictures on the beach one night. Unfortunately, we had one unhappy baby on our hands.

I often feel bad for my mom. #1: she has to live with all boys! and #2: they NEVER have a normal family picture. It's impossible! For example:

Beach Baby

Some might say we're crazy...but when Brynlee was only 2 weeks old, we took her on a plane to California. We were dying to get out of the Arizona heat and since my family spends 3 weeks every summer at Newport Beach we packed up for a little get away!

Brynlee was so good. She slept the entire way there!

Brynlee got so many loves from her cousins (& 2nd cousins). Every time Brady & Ellie (both 18 months) saw her they would say "baby" and reach out to hold her. It was the cutest thing. Ellie kept grabbing Brynn's hand and giving her "knuckles"/"pound it". Adorable!

Brynn's first "Big Girl" Bath

Brynlee had her first REAL bath the other day. At first she was a little nervous, but eventually she got used to the water and ended up loving it! She kept hanging one leg and one arm off of the 'hammock'... just hanging out. She's a water baby! I knew she had a part of me in her somewhere!!

One Week Old Already!?!

Brynlee turned ONE WEEK OLD on the 8th. It seems like we just brought her home yesterday. She has been such a joy to have in our family. We can't get enough of her!! We find ourselves just sitting around and watching her sleep... so we figured 'why not take pictures of her while she's sleeping?' Thanks for your help, mom! Here are some of my faves:

Yes, We're Still Waiting...

To answer your question-- NO-- we have not had our baby yet. I go in for a doctor's appointment in a copule hours so discuss the "pros and cons of induction." HOPEFULLY that means that I'll be induced in a few hours and be a MOM a few hours after that... but that may just be wishful thinking!

Poor Riley took last week and this week off of work in hopes of spending time with Brynlee. Unfortunately, he's only been able to spend time with ME. What a treat! Poor guy has been going crazy!! As for me, I've been finding random crafts and projects to keep me "busy." Here's the latest...

The Waiting Game

I'm losing my patience! I just want this baby to come out... TODAY would be nice. Yesterday, Riley and I took our niece Ellie for a walk to the park, but we were really walking me... trying to get this baby to drop. I tried walking on the curb, the sand, little hills, etc. Nothing is working! Any suggestions?!? *I will not try the whole caster oil thing. That just sounds extremely unpleasant.

Sure, our little one isn't due for another 2 weeks, but at our last appointment, Dr. Beck said that she already weighs almost 7 1/2 lbs. Are you kidding!?! If we keep this up, she's going to be a 10 pounder!! Anyway, I wish I had a more exciting update, but we're still just playing the waiting game!
