A lot has happened the past few weeks... and I've been slacking in the blog world.
First, I have officially earned the title "World's Worst Mother." And it breaks my heart.
On April 21st (evening), I sat Brynlee in her high chair to feed her some dinner. She was strapped into her high chair, but the high chair wasn't strapped to the chair. Well, with all of Bryn's strength, she leaned forward on the tray and it tipped right over onto the TILE! Ugh! Immediately she started screaming (good thing... at least she didn't pass out). So I picked her up and comforted her as best as I could. She still wasn't calming down, so about 10 minutes later I took her outside for some air. Two seconds later, she threw up all over the front walkway. So, I rushed her to Urgent Care where she threw up again... which made them bump us to first in line. The doctor took a look at her and then sent us straight to the ER. By this time, Bryn had stopped crying, but I was now sobbing at the idea of my baby going to the ER. They told us she needed a CT scan of her head to ensure there was no internal bleeding and to check for any fractures to her skull. 5 hours later, and a few visits from people who love her, our little girl miraculously checked out fine. I am SO grateful for the power of the Priesthood and for Riley and my dad for giving our baby a blessing.
Second, I just swam in the sheROX triathlon and it was one of the coolest things I've ever done. I definitely have the "bug" now and am going to compete next year (once this baby comes and I have time to train). Anyone care to join me??
My friend Jozie asked me to be on a relay team a few months ago and I've had fun 'training'. It was a 750 Meter swim in Tempe Town Lake and after that my big prego body was pooped! I couldn't imagine continuing on to bike and run. Hopefully ONE DAY I'll be in good enough shape to do it all!
A very tired mom & cute lil Bryn
Finally, Brynlee took her first step (or THREE steps). Unfortunately I missed it!! So depressing. She's been holding onto furniture and walking around the house that way for a while now, but just yesterday she actually WALKED on her own! It's only a matter of time before this girl starts running!!
